John brings a strong track record and thought leadership spanning key customer missions, capability delivery, and empowering great talent. His professional accomplishments include:
- Operations and investment experience in a defense-prime corporate venture capital fund
- Program Manager of almost $90MM worth of cyber focused efforts, leading teams as large as 40+ engineers and support staff
- Won $100M+ in new business contracts covering mission areas from anti-submarine warfare, classified space payloads and ground systems, government IT, and customers from DoD, USIC, DHS, and DOT/FAA
- Led and managed 20 R&D-focused prototype programs, with success integrating them into large IRADs and Programs of Record
- Non-resident fellow for UC Berkeley’s Risk and Security Lab within the Goldman School of Public Policy. Specialty in industrial resiliency, climate security, and emerging technologies
John holds a Master of Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He also holds an FAA private pilot certificate and maintains an active security clearance.
A Northern Virginia native, John enjoys reading, running marathons, watching motorsports, auto crossing, driving track days, and supporting DC-area sports teams.
